Male Opistophthalmus lornae (Lorna’s Burrowing Scorpion) from Klein Pella
This male was caught out in one of the few thunderstorms this area receives in their rainy season. UV lighting just before thunderstorms and in their early stages usually results in a good number of species being active on the surface in this area because of the abundance of prey that comes out for the rains.
