Parabuthus distridor (Smooth Thicktail Scorpion) from the Richtersveld

A highly sand-adapted species, living on the loose red sand of the Richtersveld and Namaqualand. One of the few Parabuthus that lack the stridulatory surface which the genus uses to warn off predators.
