Description of Leiurus abdullahbayrami: The background colour of prosoma, mesosoma
and segment V of metasoma is black, appendages are yellowish. Centrolateral and
posteriomedian carinae fused lyre-shaped form. Tergites I and II bear five carinae.
Trichobothrium db on the fixed finger of the pedipalp is located between trichobothria est
and esb. Fixed finger with 11 oblique granule rows. Movable fingers of pedipalps with 4
distal and 11 oblique granule rows. The ventrolateral carinae of metasomal segment V are
armed with large and rounded granules. The anal arch comprises 3 rounded lobes
laterally and 6 small lobes posteriorly. Sternites IV-VI are smooth. The pedipalp average
length/width ratio is 4.54 in the male and 4.49 in the two females. Leg I-IV with short
spines on the ventral side of tarsus. Basitarsus of legs I-III with bristlecombs, basitarsus
of legs IV without bristlecombs. Measurements of specimens of L. abdullahbayrami from
Al-Sankari Village and Abd Al-Aziz Mountain are given in Table (1). Pectinal tooth
counts in male 37-38, in females 30-31 and 34-34.
